# Share Your Health Data with Providers and Others

> Export your Veyda health reports, share insights with healthcare providers, or grant a trusted contact limited access to your health summary.

Veyda makes it straightforward to bring your health data into conversations with doctors, specialists, and caregivers — or to simply archive it for your own records. Whether you want to share a single insight before an appointment, hand a comprehensive report to your cardiologist, or give a family member a window into how you are doing, Veyda gives you granular control over what you share, with whom, and for how long.

<Warning>
  Your health data is personal and sensitive. Only share it with people you trust. Veyda cannot control what a recipient does with data once you share it, and shared links — even after expiry — may have been saved or forwarded by the recipient. Review each sharing option carefully before sending.
</Warning>

## Share an individual insight

To share a single insight directly from the feed:

1. Tap the insight card to open the full insight view.
2. Tap the **Share** button at the bottom of the screen.
3. Choose one of two formats:
   * **PDF** — Veyda generates a formatted, printable PDF containing the insight title, supporting metrics, confidence level, and recommended action. Use the system share sheet to save it to Files, attach it to an email, or send it via your preferred messaging app.
   * **Link** — Veyda generates a secure, read-only web link to a formatted version of the insight. The link expires after 30 days.

## Generate a Health Report

A Health Report is a comprehensive PDF summarizing your health data across a date range you choose. It is well suited for annual physicals, specialist appointments, or personal recordkeeping.

1. Go to **Profile > Reports** and tap **New Report**.
2. Select a **date range** using the date picker. You can choose preset ranges (Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days) or set a custom start and end date.
3. Choose which **metric categories** to include by toggling Sleep, Activity, Recovery, Nutrition, and Heart on or off.
4. Optionally, tap **Include Insights** to add your highest-confidence insights from the period to the report.
5. Tap **Generate Report**. Veyda compiles the report in the background — this usually takes less than a minute.
6. When the report is ready, tap **Download PDF** to save it to your device or share it using the system share sheet.

## Provider access

Provider Access generates a secure, read-only web link you can send to a healthcare provider. The link displays a structured summary of your health data — similar to a Health Report — in a clean, browser-based view that requires no Veyda account to open.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Sharing settings">
    Go to **Profile > Sharing**, then tap **Provider Access**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose what to include">
    Select the metric categories and date range you want the provider to see. You can also choose whether to include your insight history.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the expiry">
    Choose how long the link remains active. The default is 30 days, but you can set a shorter window — 7 days, 14 days — or extend it up to 90 days.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the link">
    Tap **Generate Link**. Veyda creates the link and copies it to your clipboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the link">
    Paste the link into a message, email, or your provider's patient portal. The provider can open it in any browser without signing in to Veyda.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage or revoke the link">
    Your active provider links are listed under **Profile > Sharing > Provider Access**. Tap any link to see when it was created, when it expires, and how many times it has been opened. Tap **Revoke** to deactivate the link immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Provider links expire after 30 days by default. Once a link expires, the URL returns a "Link expired" message and no health data is visible. You can generate a new link at any time from **Profile > Sharing > Provider Access**.
</Note>

## Trusted Contact Access

Trusted Contact Access lets you invite a family member or caregiver to view a limited summary of your health in the Veyda app. Unlike a provider link, a Trusted Contact sees a live view that updates automatically — useful for a parent monitoring an elderly family member or a caregiver tracking recovery progress.

**Invite a Trusted Contact:**

1. Go to **Profile > Sharing** and tap **Trusted Contacts**.
2. Tap **Invite Contact** and enter the person's email address.
3. Choose which categories they can see — for example, Activity and Heart, but not Sleep or Nutrition.
4. Tap **Send Invite**. The contact receives an email with instructions to create a free Veyda Companion account (or sign in if they already have one).
5. Once they accept, they can view your selected health summary from their own Veyda app. They cannot see your full profile, your insights, or any categories you have not explicitly shared.

**Adjust what a Trusted Contact can see:**

Go to **Profile > Sharing > Trusted Contacts**, tap the contact's name, and toggle the categories on or off. Changes take effect immediately.

## Revoke access

**Revoke a provider link:**

Go to **Profile > Sharing > Provider Access**, tap the link, and tap **Revoke**. The link becomes inactive within seconds.

**Remove a Trusted Contact:**

Go to **Profile > Sharing > Trusted Contacts**, tap the contact's name, and tap **Remove Contact**. The contact loses access to your health summary immediately and is notified by email.

## Export raw data as CSV

If you want a full export of your underlying health data for analysis in another tool, Veyda can generate a CSV export.

1. Go to **Profile > Data & Privacy** and tap **Export My Data**.
2. Select a date range and the metric categories to include.
3. Tap **Request Export**. Veyda queues the export and sends you an email with a download link when it is ready, typically within a few minutes.

The CSV export includes timestamped raw data points for each metric and is formatted for compatibility with common spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
