# Frequently Asked Questions About Veyda

## Getting started

  <Accordion title="How do I create a Veyda account?">
    Download the Veyda app from the App Store or Google Play, then tap **Get Started** on the welcome screen. Enter your email address, create a password, and confirm your email with the verification link we send you. Once verified, complete your health profile — including age, biological sex, and any relevant health goals — so Veyda can tailor your insights from day one.

    You can also sign up using your Apple ID or Google account for a faster setup.

  <Accordion title="What devices and apps does Veyda support?">
    Veyda connects to a wide range of wearables and health platforms, including:

    * **Wearables:** Apple Watch, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura Ring, WHOOP, and Samsung Galaxy Watch
    * **Health platforms:** Apple Health, Google Fit, and Garmin Connect
    * **Fitness and nutrition apps:** Strava, MyFitnessPal, and Cronometer

    To connect a device or app, go to **Settings → Connections** and follow the authorization steps. New integrations are added regularly — see the [Integrations](/integrations/overview) page for the full and up-to-date list.

  <Accordion title="How long does it take to see my first insights?">
    Most users see their first insights within 24 hours of connecting at least one data source. Some insight categories — such as sleep trends and recovery scores — require a minimum of 7 days of continuous data before Veyda can generate a reliable baseline. Deeper trend analysis, like monthly comparisons, becomes available after 30 days.

    If you haven't seen any insights after 24 hours, check that your connected devices are actively syncing in **Settings → Connections**.

## Insights & data

  <Accordion title="How does Veyda generate my health insights?">
    Veyda analyzes data from your connected devices and apps — including heart rate, sleep stages, activity levels, and more — and applies evidence-based models to surface patterns and recommendations relevant to your personal health profile. Insights are updated continuously as new data arrives and improve in accuracy over time as Veyda builds a longer baseline for your individual metrics.

    Veyda does not use your data to train shared machine learning models. All analysis is specific to your account.

  <Accordion title="Why aren't my insights updating?">
    Stale insights are usually caused by a sync interruption between your device and Veyda. Try these steps in order:

    1. Open **Settings → Connections** and confirm your data sources show an active status.
    2. If a source shows an error, tap it and re-authorize the connection.
    3. Trigger a manual sync by tapping **Sync Now** on the Connections page.
    4. Pull down to refresh the Insights feed.

  <Accordion title="Can I manually log health data?">
    Yes. Tap the **+** icon on the home screen to manually log data including water intake, meals, mood, symptoms, menstrual cycle information, and custom notes. Manually logged data is incorporated into your insights alongside data from connected devices.

    For metrics like weight or blood pressure, you can also connect a compatible smart scale or blood pressure monitor rather than logging values by hand.

  <Accordion title="How far back does Veyda analyze my historical data?">
    When you connect a data source, Veyda imports your available historical data as far back as the source allows — typically between 6 months and 2 years depending on the device or platform. For example, Apple Watch and Whoop support up to 2 years of historical import, while Samsung Galaxy Watch supports up to 6 months.

## Privacy & security

  <Accordion title="Who can see my health data?">
    Your health data is private by default. Only you can view your insights and raw metrics. A small number of authorized Veyda engineers may access account data solely for the purpose of investigating support issues or debugging platform errors — all such access is logged and audited.

    Veyda does not share your individual health data with third parties, advertisers, employers, or insurers under any circumstances. For full details, see our [Privacy & Security](/support/privacy-security) page.

  <Accordion title="Does Veyda sell my data?">
    No. Veyda does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health data to any third party. We do not use your data for advertising purposes, and we do not share it with data brokers. Our business model is based on subscription revenue — your data is never the product.

  <Accordion title="Can I delete my data?">
    Yes. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated health data from **Settings → Privacy → Delete Account**. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

    If you want to keep your account but remove data from a specific connected source, revoke that connection in **Settings → Connections** and submit a partial data deletion request through Settings → Privacy.

      Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. Export your data first if you want a local copy — go to **Settings → Privacy → Export Data**.

## Subscriptions & billing

  <Accordion title="What's included in the free plan?">
    The free plan gives you access to core health insights including daily activity summaries, basic sleep analysis, and heart rate trends. You can connect up to two data sources and view up to 30 days of historical charts.

    Premium unlocks advanced insights such as recovery scoring, HRV analysis, longitudinal trend reports, personalized recommendations, unlimited data source connections, and priority support.

  <Accordion title="How do I upgrade to Premium?">
    You can upgrade at any time from within the app. Go to **Settings → Subscription** and tap **Upgrade to Premium**. Choose a monthly or annual billing cycle — annual plans offer a significant discount. Payment is processed securely through the App Store or Google Play depending on your device.

    Premium takes effect immediately after purchase, and your existing data and insights carry over without interruption.

  <Accordion title="How do I cancel my subscription?">
    Subscriptions are managed through the platform where you originally purchased — the App Store or Google Play. To cancel:

    * **iOS:** Go to **Settings → \[your name] → Subscriptions** on your iPhone, find Veyda, and tap **Cancel Subscription**.
    * **Android:** Open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, go to **Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions**, find Veyda, and tap **Cancel subscription**.

    You retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period. Canceling does not delete your account or data.
