Veyda’s insights are only as good as the information behind them. A fully configured account — with an accurate health profile, clearly defined goals, and well-tuned notification preferences — gives Veyda the context it needs to surface recommendations that are genuinely relevant to your body and your life. This guide walks you through every setting you should configure before you start using Veyda in earnest, and explains why each one matters.

Health profile

Your health profile is the foundation Veyda uses to calibrate every insight and baseline. Navigate to Settings > Health Profile to review and update these fields at any time.
1

Enter your personal details

Fill in the following fields:
  • Age — Veyda uses your age to apply age-appropriate reference ranges for metrics like resting heart rate, VO2 max estimates, and HRV.
  • Biological sex — Physiological differences affect how many health metrics are interpreted. Select the option that best represents your biology.
  • Height — Used for BMI calculations and activity estimations such as stride length and calorie burn.
  • Weight — Provides a baseline for energy expenditure calculations. Veyda accepts weight entries in either kilograms or pounds; choose your preferred unit in Settings > Units.
2

Set your health goals

Select one or more goals that reflect what you most want to improve or track. Veyda uses your goals to prioritize which insights to surface and how to frame recommendations.Available goals:
  • Better sleep — Focuses on sleep duration, sleep quality scores, and consistency of your sleep schedule.
  • Weight management — Tracks energy balance, activity trends, and nutritional data if a food-logging integration is connected.
  • Fitness performance — Emphasizes training load, recovery readiness, cardiovascular fitness trends, and workout quality.
  • Stress reduction — Highlights HRV, resting heart rate, and other stress-correlated signals, and surfaces patterns linked to elevated stress.
  • Longevity — Takes a broad view across all metrics, emphasizing long-term trends in cardiovascular health, metabolic indicators, and lifestyle consistency.
You can select multiple goals. Veyda weights your insights accordingly and lets you filter the Insights dashboard by goal category.

Notification preferences

Veyda can reach out to you proactively when your data surfaces something worth your attention. Configure your notification preferences at Settings > Notifications.
1

Enable push notifications

Open the Veyda app on your iOS or Android device. Go to Settings > Notifications and toggle on Push notifications. If your device prompts you to allow Veyda to send notifications, select Allow.
2

Choose your alert categories

Select which insight categories trigger a push notification: sleep, activity, cardiovascular, recovery, nutrition, or all categories. You can also enable a Daily summary notification that delivers a morning briefing of your overnight data.
3

Set quiet hours

Enable Quiet hours to prevent non-urgent alerts from interrupting your sleep or focused time. Set your start and end time, and Veyda will hold non-critical notifications until your quiet period ends.

Privacy settings

You are in control of what data Veyda uses and whether any of it is shared beyond your account. Go to Settings > Privacy to review your options.
  • Data usage — Toggle individual data categories on or off. For example, if you want Veyda to analyze your sleep and activity but not your nutritional data, you can disable nutrition data processing entirely.
  • Data retention — Choose how long Veyda retains your historical data: 1 year, 3 years, or indefinitely. Reducing the retention window also reduces the historical depth of your trend analysis.
  • Research contributions — Veyda offers an opt-in program that contributes anonymized, aggregated data to health research partnerships. This is disabled by default. You can enable or disable it at any time without affecting your account.
  • Data export — Download a copy of all your Veyda data at any time from Settings > Privacy > Export my data. Exports are delivered as a JSON file to your account email within 24 hours.
  • Account deletion — Permanently deleting your account removes all stored data within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

Account security

Veyda stores sensitive personal health data. Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) is strongly recommended. Without 2FA, a compromised password is all an attacker needs to access your full health history. Enable it before you connect any data sources.
1

Set a strong password

Go to Settings > Security > Change password. Choose a password that is at least 12 characters long and includes a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid reusing a password from another service.
2

Enable two-factor authentication

Navigate to Settings > Security > Two-factor authentication and select Enable 2FA. Veyda supports two methods:
  • Authenticator app (recommended) — Scan the QR code with an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. You will enter a six-digit code from the app each time you sign in.
  • SMS — Receive a one-time code by text message. This method is less secure than an authenticator app but is better than no 2FA.
Save the backup codes Veyda provides. Store them somewhere secure and offline — you will need them if you lose access to your primary 2FA method.
3

Review active sessions

Under Settings > Security > Active sessions, you can see all devices currently signed in to your Veyda account. If you see a session you do not recognize, select Revoke to sign it out immediately.

Subscription and plan

Veyda offers two plan tiers. Go to Settings > Subscription to view your current plan and make changes.
