The quality of your Veyda insights depends directly on the richness of your health data. When you connect a wearable or health platform, Veyda gains access to continuous, real-world measurements — heart rate variability, sleep stages, activity load, and more — that it uses to build a precise picture of your health over time. A connected device means your insights update automatically every time you open the app, with no manual logging required.

Connect a wearable device

Veyda supports Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop, and Oura Ring. Connect any of these from the Connections page in Settings.
1

Open Settings

Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner of the Veyda app, then select Settings.
2

Go to Connections

Scroll down to the Integrations section and tap Connections. You will see a list of supported devices and platforms.
3

Select your device

Find your device — Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, Whoop, or Oura Ring — and tap Connect.
4

Authorize access

Veyda redirects you to the device manufacturer’s authorization page. Sign in with your device account credentials and grant Veyda the requested permissions. The permissions screen lists exactly which data types Veyda will read.
5

Confirm the connection

After authorization, Veyda returns you to the Connections page. Your device should appear with a green Active status indicator. The first sync may take a few minutes to complete.

Connect a health platform

Connecting Apple HealthApple Health is the central health data repository on iPhone and iPad. Connecting it gives Veyda access to data from any app that writes to Apple Health, including third-party fitness apps and medical devices.
1

Open Settings in Veyda

Tap your profile icon, select Settings, then go to Connections.
2

Tap Apple Health

Under the Health Platforms section, tap Connect next to Apple Health.
3

Grant permissions in the Health app

iOS opens the Apple Health permissions sheet. Review the data categories Veyda is requesting — such as heart rate, sleep analysis, and active energy — then tap Allow All or toggle individual categories on. Tap Done to confirm.
4

Verify the connection

Return to Veyda’s Connections page. Apple Health should display a green Active badge.

Verify a connection is active

Every connected device or platform on the Connections page displays a status badge:
  • Green — Active: Data is syncing normally.
  • Yellow — Pending: The connection was authorized but the first sync has not yet completed. This typically resolves within a few minutes.
  • Red — Error: Veyda cannot reach the device or platform. See the troubleshooting section below.
Tap any connection to view the last sync timestamp and the specific data types being shared.

Disconnect a device

1

Navigate to Connections

Go to Settings > Connections and find the device or platform you want to remove.
2

Tap the connection

Tap the device row to open its detail screen.
3

Tap Disconnect

Tap Disconnect and confirm when prompted. Veyda immediately stops pulling new data from that source. Previously synced data remains in your Veyda account unless you also delete it from your profile.

Troubleshooting

A device won’t connect
  • Make sure you are signed in to the correct account for the device manufacturer (e.g., your Garmin Connect account, your Oura account).
  • Check that the Veyda app has internet access and that the device manufacturer’s service is not experiencing an outage.
  • Close and reopen Veyda, then try the connection flow again.
Re-authorizing permissions If you previously denied a permission or changed your mind about what data Veyda can access, you can re-authorize at any time:
  1. Go to Settings > Connections and tap the affected device.
  2. Tap Manage Permissions.
  3. Veyda reopens the device manufacturer’s or platform’s authorization screen so you can update your choices.
If you revoke Veyda’s permissions directly inside the Apple Health app, the Google account settings, or the device manufacturer’s app — rather than through Veyda’s Connections page — the connection will break and show a red Error status. To restore it, go to Settings > Connections, tap the affected device, and tap Reconnect to go through the authorization flow again.
Connection shows an error after syncing for a while This usually means your authorization token has expired. Tap the connection, then tap Reconnect and complete the authorization flow. Most device platforms require periodic re-authorization as a security measure.
